Marc Blake began developing B&W film at the age of thirteen. He was amazed that one could really do this themself. Captured (on film) by the apparent magic, photography immediately became a new media to add to his creative exploitations. He traveled through much of Europe at the age of 15 creating thousands of images on that celluloid canvas called film while studying art history.
Like so many, computers happened [to him] years later and his two (or three!) decades of history with darkroom techniques printing B&W and color gallery-quality photographic prints made his transition into digital work gentle and nearly seamless.
Marc keeps (too) busy with his prolific and endless desire to expand his creative skill-sets. He's a self-taught artist who has honed expertise in photography, videography, writing (scripts, creative and technical), music, educational curriculum and marketing... and that was just this morning. By the day's end he'll likely of branched into a few new areas of creative endeavor.
Most of his time is spent consulting and developing marketing campaigns for corporations and manufacturers. He's known by his clients as the "go to guy" (the Creative QB) since they can always depend on his resourceful and creative ability to figure stuff out and make things happen [fast]. In the music industry they call him the Music QB. One of his (many) personas is "The Cruise Director" for the 70's platinum top-10 hit band, "Pablo Cruise." He's conceived and launched national programs for a few important manufacturers in the photo/video industry that have become extremely successful.
Marc said, "Solving problems or creating new ideas and concepts is really not that difficult. Often times it's as easy as taking a pencil and paper and working out a mathematical calculation. Typically, one plus one will equal two - a no brainer! It's exciting when two becomes four, becomes eight... becomes a million because then it's a new campaign that many can benefit from. ... and everybody wins!"
